Inclusive Network ‘Late Takes’ Creative Circle

Join us for Inclusive Network 'Late Takes' Creative Circle on 25th February where we will reflect on the Inclusive network programme to date, welcome this year’s members of our Collective leadership programme, and share their visions for leadership and sector change in the region.

Taking place at the amazing Iron House in Birmingham, we invite you to enjoy a laid-back evening of food and drink to build connections and shared ambitions and inform the Inclusive Network activity.

In conversation: Lateesha Johnson with two speakers from our second Collective cohort, Faith Whenham and Ayesha Hussain

Lateesha Johnson - Creative Producer

Lateesha Johnson is a dynamic producer who collaborates with artists across the sector to create impactful live events, particularly focused on elevating underrepresented voices. She has worked alongside community groups to infuse creativity into diverse spaces, promoting creative activity and artistic expression for wellbeing. As the founder of Black Girls Bookshelf, Lateesha amplifies the stories of Black women and women of colour, facilitating meaningful conversations through author interviews and book club events. With a commitment to nurturing creativity, she has produced learning and development opportunities tailored to artists at various stages of their careers through events and programmes and currently, she supports emerging filmmakers in the region as part of BFI NETWORK Midlands. As Vice Chair of the John Feeney Charitable Trust, Lateesha is dedicated to championing innovative initiatives that highlight and celebrate Birmingham’s cultural identity, contributing to the city’s vibrant cultural landscape. Lateesha was part of Culture Central’s inaugural cohort of the Collective in 2023/4.

Faith Whenham - Senior Producer, Birmingham Repertory Theatre

Faith has recently joined Birmingham Rep as Senior Producer. For over a decade, she was Deputy Stage Manager on UK and internationally touring musical theatre productions. She then joined Birmingham Hippodrome as Festival Producer, presenting Birmingham’s largest arts festivals for several years. More recently, she was Senior Producer for Unboxed, on See Monster, a commission which transformed a 450-tonne oil rig into an art installation in Weston-super-Mare.

Ayesha Hussain - Collections Access Officer (Information), Birmingham Museums Trust

Day to day Ayesha deals mostly with data. As well as helping staff with their data needs, Ayesha works on the Dynamic Collections project, inviting community groups to get hands on with the collection and the database. This is also done online, with a crowd-sourcing transcription project called Documentation Detectives. Ayesha is also project managing a cataloguing and digitization project, having previously completed the cataloguing and digitization of BMT’s 26000 works on paper.
