The Inclusive Network invites you to join us at: BCU Pathways
On behalf of the Schools of Art, Design and Media (ADM) at Birmingham City University, we are delighted to invite you to Pathways, an opportunity to explore how cultural organisations, creative industries and artists can collaborate with researchers to engage communities in impactful projects and experiences.
As ADM seeks to engage communities and expand the impact of its research, and the cultural and creative sectors work towards sustainability in challenging environments, conversations around the potential of collaboration may identify aligning agendas and pathways to longer-term industry-research partnership.
The event will run from 12pm until 7pm on Thursday 11th July and will include:
Food for Thought through relaxed presentations from leaders of research/industry collaborations ‘Disability Under Siege’ and ‘Check Global’.
Conversation around the Convergence, Challenges and Opportunities of collaboration, facilitated by a panel of researchers and industry practitioners.
Experience collaboration in practice at Eastside Projects and Centrala, with long-term RBC partner organisations Fizzle & TDE Promotions presenting newly commissioned music that explores creative approaches to feedback and evaluation.

About the Inclusive Network
Our Inclusive Network programme unites trailblazers, leaders, and creative activists to support, empower, and provide opportunities for traditionally excluded groups within the creative workforce. Through a mix of structured, semi-structured and informal activities, we aim to create a safe and nurturing environment for a diverse community of creatives.
The Network aims to disrupt the patterns that reinforce exclusion by interrogating and challenging traditional networking approaches and democratising access to skills, jobs, and opportunities. We're creating a space where traditionally excluded groups can develop and thrive not just by opening doors but by knocking them down.
